20+ on race day. Verified by official ID. No exceptions for under-20, regardless of guardian consent.

Administration

Passport valid 6+ months from departure. Cooperation on group visa, SDF, and document deadlines.

Medical Fitness

Doctor's certificate on official form. Resting EKG. Cleared for 4,000m altitude exposure.

Race Experience

ITRA/UTMB index 500+, or a 50km+ trail finish within the last 2 years. Tiger's Nest acclimatization hike required.

Missing Documents Incomplete submissions by the deadline may result in visa denial or revoked participation. Medical fees and pre-paid expenses follow the refund schedule.

  • Cardiovascular, resting EKG, history of arrhythmia or hypertension
  • Respiratory, clearance for hypoxic conditions at altitude
  • General, blood pressure, prior altitude history, current medication

Validity

  • Issued within 6 months of race date
  • Submit by August 31, 2026, linked to the Bhutan visa & final approval
  • Korean or English (English required for overseas runners)
  • On the official KOLON TRAIL RUN Medical Certificate form (download it above)

Race-week authority

  • The chief medical team may request additional testing if the certificate is unclear
  • On-site (Day 1 reception) medical staff may withhold start authorization if they judge the runner unfit, regardless of paperwork

Public application on Running Connect, opens Jul 17, 2026 · 10:00 (ICT), first-come, first-served. A 2nd round opens Aug 20 for any released spots. Subject to document and medical review. 100 places total, 50 international, 50 Bhutanese.

05 · Fee & Refund

The 3,500 USD entry is a single all-inclusive package, Bangkok–Paro charter, Bhutan visa & SDF, five-star stays, race support, and the gala dinner. It bundles non-recoverable costs pre-paid to local partners. Cancellations, personal or under force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic, a sudden Bhutanese policy change), are refunded on the schedule below (ICT, UTC+7).

Fixed-package policy The fee is a single fixed product. No partial refund or difference settlement is possible if you skip the charter, stays, or meals, for example by arriving in Bhutan early or staying on afterward. Personally incurred costs (training, separate flights) are not reimbursable.
